Treasury Specialist
Duration - 6 Months, Contact (potential to convert/extend)
Location - San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Pay - $22 - $24 an hr
The Treasury Specialist is responsible for receiving, logging, and distributing Finance's mail as well as researching and coding checks received by the cash management group.
Essential Functions
- Prepare daily cash position reports, organize cashflow support
- Weekly, prepare notes not sent to bank report.
- Log and code checks received to the cash management group.
- Conduct our pair off settlement confirmation with brokers and submit wire requests (3 times a month)
- Perform low activity bank/ liability reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Administer Appraisal payment sites (Speedpay/Chase checkout)
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree, & 1+ year of total work experience in a related accounting support role. Prior experience in the mortgage industry and accounting systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with general accounting concepts and banking systems.
- MS Dynamic & advanced Excel experience highly preferred
- Familiarity with accounting tools and software, banking and imaging software.
- Basic understanding of overall mortgage process.
- Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with others and work well under the pressure of deadlines.
- Prior experience using document retention software; AIQ preferred.
